The Company

An International Pharmaceutical Company who manufactures active ingredients is currently seeking a permanent Instrument technician to join their team.

The Job

To maintain, install instrumentation and measuring and control equipment.  This will provide reliable plant and equipment to both meet the manufacturing plan and satisfy the external regulators.  The maintenance includes both scheduled routine maintenance and breakdown maintenance.

Working as part of a team carrying out installation, maintenance and the calibration of instrumentation systems in the factory. Completing of maintenance and repair service for pneumatic and electronic instruments and maintenance routines. Carrying out the installation and commissioning service on new equipment and modify existing equipment. You will also maintain and modify industrial and laboratory equipment as and when required.

Ensure compliance with all appropriate SHE and cGMP procedures and practices.

Be proactive in problem solving and understanding customer requirements and issues
     
The Candidate

Having a formal engineering background is essential for this position. Ideally having completed either an appropriate instrument engineering apprenticeship or relevant course, along with proven competency in hazardous area equipment maintenance.

With the ability to; interpret circuit diagrams and other engineering drawings, perform fault diagnosis, analyse data, use computer systems e.g. EPMS and perform appropriate administration duties. Excellent communication skills at all levels, experience of working in a Pharmaceutical/medical/Chemical environment.
