Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer Middlesex
  £35k - £38k pa

The Company 

An international Healthcare manufacturer who produce and manufacture brand named Healthcare products have an excellent opportunity for a permanent days Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer based in Middlesex. 

The Job 

Providing professional technical expertise and advice to the engineering team and other personal, generation of innovative and creative engineering solutions while driving continuous improvement, safety, compliance and capital projects. You will assist in the training and assessment of personnel within the department, complete the Validation of new and existing equipment and processes, as well as managing the planned maintenance programme, co-ordinate and manage project activity as required. 
Ensure Health & Safety, Technical, and Quality/GMP, are considered in all aspects of role. 
Take ownership for the performance of manufacturing plant and equipment utilising the Maintenance systems and other data sources to formulate plans to deliver increased Overall Equipment Effectiveness. 
Act as a coach/mentor to Operators and Technicians and where necessary to design and deliver specific training programs for their development. 
Utilise six sigma principles, tools and techniques in developing an OE culture, leading self and others in devising and implementing strategies for continuous improvement. 
Optimise equipment maintenance programs through the application of FMECA and RCM processes, ensuring PM schedule adherence is achieved. 
Lead/support Minor Engineering Modifications, Technical Changes and Minor Capital Projects within OCM. Periodically review critical spares requirements. 
Become proficient in and champion the correct use of the. 
Management of equipment/spares refurbishment. 

The Candidate 

You will be qualified to HNC in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. 
Experience in an FMCG industry is desirable as well as Six Sigma improvement methodology, Green Belt and experience of powder conveyance systems with a comprehensive knowledge of how to resolve complex issues relating to product flow, segregation, blending and equipment design. 
Have a high level of numeracy and literacy skills. Be able to demonstrate skills in Leadership, communication and team working with the proven ability to Train and coach others. 
Proven experience in drive to achieve results, flexibility and willingness to accept change. 
Have the ability to challenge confidently and adhere to standards. Be able to Improve systems and processes whilst focusing on customer needs, Computer literacy, Strong interpersonal skills and 
Working knowledge of GMP is essential for this position 

The hours of work are 8.00am – 5.15pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am to 12.00noon Friday.
