The Job

As the Production Engineer, your role will be to provide a high standard of engineering support for the day to day production requirements of the manufacturing operations for an expanding International Company. You will be responsible for the Planning, documenting and reviewing manufacturing and handling methods used within the factory and to and from sub contractors.  Specification, design and implementation of suitable tooling, jigs, fixtures and production equipment necessary for effective manufacture.

Liaising with the Design and Development Engineers advising on design for manufacture and appropriate manufacturing methods for new products. Keeping in touch with the day to day production activities as well as being accessible to the production personnel on a daily basis. Raising and progressing Engineering Change Requests.

Investigating, justification and implementation of new assembly methods and equipment. Raising necessary Capital Expenditure Requests. Advising on suitability of modern methods and carrying out pilot studies where appropriate.
Development, implementation and monitoring of performance measures for assembly areas.  Project management of new products into production as well as the provision of all facilities, benches, layout designs, parts storage facilities, tooling and build plans. Liaising with Quality Control to source and solve causes of assembly related product defects whilst ensuring that at all times, the requirements of Health and Safety At Work are met.

The Candidate

You will have a proven track record within a Production environment and be able to demonstrate that you can add benefits to the business.  Experience in 3D CAD and Pro-E. Familiar with New Product Introduction and implementation, fault finding, along with excellent communication skills at all levels
