SALARY: £22,000 - £25,000 depending on experience + benefits
LOCATION: Stevenage, Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City, Letchworth, Welham Green, Potters Bar, Hertford, Hitchin, St Albans, Watford, Hemel Hempstead.
The Company
A global leader in the research, manufacturing and marketing of electrical and electronic automotive equipment are seeking a Quality Control Engineer for initially a 12 month fixed term contract.
The Job
You will be responsible for the co-ordination of quality, field warranty and other technical activities relating to Automotive products for our OEM customers as well as and not limited to:
• Warranty Rejects: monitoring and managing on line systems for warranty rejects; meeting customer
deadlines for collection and providing responses for field rejected parts
• Quality Rejects: visiting customer sites in response to 0km rejects; supporting customer requirements
regarding testing / containing potential issues to minimise their exposure
• Testing / Verification: carrying out both on site at customer and workshop based testing and defect
verification on rejected / returned parts to support detailed analysis at a later date in Japan
• Data Co-ordination: co-ordinate all aspects of data collation and distribution related to Quality / Warranty
returns to meet customer deadlines and internal requirements
• Recharge Process: preparing documentation required to align rejected / returned parts with customer
debits to support the recharge process back to our supplying factory
• Reporting: create and present regular reports on the status of Quality and Warranty internally and to
customers
The candidate
You will hold an Electrical or electronic engineering related qualification (Degree / HND etc).
Have a proven track record within an Automotive environment and quality based experience or equivalent. You will have good organisational skills and analytical skills, knowledge of CAN / MOST would be an advantage as well as good PC skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Web portals.
