Process Engineer Hatfield
  £35k - £37k pa dependent on experience
 

My client an international pharmaceutical manufacturer are looking to recruit a Process engineer  to provide operational and project engineering support to the companies European solid dose manufacturing facility in Hatfield 

As part of a team reporting to the Process and Instrumentation Engineering Leader, this role has the responsibility to define the engineering tasks and activities associated with the efficient and complaint operation of pharmaceutical dry product manufacturing and packaging equipment. 

The engineering group, and this role in particular, are critical to ensure the efficient operation of the equipment. It is expected that this will be achieved by designing maintenance regimes that balance the needs of production for ‘up time’ and failure prevention. Risk based approaches will be required with GMP, Health and Safety in mind as critical factors that are non negotiable. 

The successful candidate will have responsibility for: 

- Providing engineering technical expertise to support the operations of site in accordance with Good 
Manufacturing and Engineering Practice 
- Delivering improvements to equipment reliability and availability, maintaining metrics and KPI to 
demonstrate performance. 
- Defining maintenance regimes for process equipment taking account of manufactures 
recommendations (to maintain warrantees), production drivers and Good Engineering Practices. 
- The co-ordination and participation in the development of risk assessment and method statements 
associated with specified work. 
- Management of external contractors for the execution of specialist maintenance activities, including 
feeding back and monitoring on performance. 
- Defining equipment spares requirements, identifying specifications, sources of supply and stock levels. 

Qualifications and education required: 

HND/Degree level in engineering (eg. electrical, mechanical, chemical). 
Membership of appropriate technical body an advantage (eg. ISPE, IMechE)
