The Company

One of the fastest growing suppliers of mailroom, document and logistics solutions. Who sell to more than 800,000 customers in the corporate, public and professional sectors, are seeking a permanent Planning and Materials Controller within the company.

The Job

Working within a small team with the Planning Manager and 2 Material Controllers you will be assisting the Manager with projects as well as ensuring the Factory supply meets Business demands. Optimising stocks and lead-times, significantly contribute to the on-going improvement of the internal material supply chain.

As well as Maintain the Master Production Schedule, ensure Sub-Assembly and Component work orders are planned, agreed and released on schedule.  Act as deputy for the Planning & Material Manager as required.  Develop and maintain the capacity planning module and integrate into weekly Operation routines, become the Key User for all Material/Planning issues. Offer support/training to Product Line staff.

Provide cover/support for the Planning and Materials Controller as necessary, whilst  maintaining the relevant Item Master Data.

To ensure that at all times, in the discharge of responsibilities, the requirements of Health and Safety at Work are met.

The Candidate

You will be an experienced in the planning and controlling of materials within a similar environment, have experience in managing and assisting with relevant projects as well as being confident in deputising for the Manager as and when necessary.  You will have excellent communication skills at all levels, be familiar with planning and controlling of materials.
